Services

Fun-damentals Learning Center is a state-licensed facility providing child care for children six-weeks old through elementary school. Our hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Our teachers are experienced in child care and early childhood education. Fun-damentals has many long-term teachers who are certified in first aid, communicable disease protocol, and the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Each year our teachers attend continuing-education workshops to stay current with child care instruction and issues.

Children are divided by age groups and by individual developmental levels into seven supervised classes, according to state day care licensing standards. The classes will not exceed the ratios listed on this page and most are lower. We exceed or meet ODJFS requirements.

Transportation is provided for students attending elementary schools in our area after school and at noon for kindergarten students. We currently provide transportation services to the following elementary schools: Trinity, Stevenson, Barrington, Tremont and Wickliffe.

Our facility is large, spacious and climate controlled with a large outdoor play area. We are equipped with educational toys and crafts, reading materials, and large muscle playground equipment.

Our Educational Program
Our preschool education program is designed for the development of: social skills, fine and gross motor coordination, language acquisition, math and science readiness, visual and auditory discrimination, time-use, and self-help skills.

During the summer, our program for kindergarten and school-aged children is oriented towards projects such as: swimming, plays, art projects, field trips and community activities. During the school year, our after-school program emphasizes fun activities such as stories, music, art and playground activities.

Music and art activities are planned for all ages throughout the year, along with special seasonal activities and parties. Computer, library, and creative-movement classes are available throughout the year.
